Shelby
County selected to receive four
Homeland
Security Grants!
October 2, 2007
Shelby
County recently submitted four separate Grant applications
to the Kentucky Office of Homeland Security. Only
applications receiving the highest scores from a panel of
peer reviewers were selected for funding. Out of the four
applications submitted from Shelby County, all four were
selected to receive funding!
Charlie
Frazee, Emergency Management Director, submitted the WMD/HAZMAT
6 grant application. Paul Whitman, Emergency Management
Deputy Director, submitted the Communications grant
application. And Shelby County EMS collaborated with five
other counties on their application. These individuals and
department’s should be highly commended for the dedication
and hard work they put forth in successfully achieving the
highest scores on every application earning the following
grants:
EMS
Regional Mobile Data Computer Grant - $19,800
Law
Enforcement Mobile Data Computer Grant - $49,900
Communications project for the county (Satellite receivers) -
$46,605
WMD/HAZMAT
6 Mobile Data Computer Grant - $20,595
