Clean Community Program

Like many other Americans, you collect and sort items that can help your community reduce the amount of garbage going to the landfill.  Today, approximately 21% of our trash is recovered annually by recycling.  Manufacturers use them to make new products.  We need your support for recycling to remain a part of the solution to the country's garbage issue.

Objectives:

  • To Change the attitudes toward the disposal of waste through recycling, education, and motivation
  • To clean up solid waste and litter
  • To obtain updated litter and solid waste control ordinances
  • To seek effective enforcement of all pertinent ordinances and laws
  • To encourage the placing, planting and/or preservation of trees, flowers, plants, shrubs and other objects or ornamentation in the community
